Rake

I love this show. It is rare to find a modern Australian drama that hits all the right marks. Not soapy. Not cliched. Not predictable. Witty. Intelligent. Wry. Sexy. Laugh out loud funny. Great production. Brilliant acting. Fantastic support actors. Creepy, slimy politicians. All round it captures a very modern, urban Australian spirit.

And Richard Roxburgh is hot. Love his smile. He does sarcastic bastard so well.

But an addendum. I tried the first series and after a bit of two episodes (not 2 whole episodes, mind you) I dropped it. I thought it was sexist and crass. How misguided was I? The second series has me hooked. I will get the first series on DVD and start from the beginning.
